About Us
The Klein Collins FFA Chapter was founded when KCHS first opened its doors in 2001. Initial membership was only 25 members! Danny Reaves was the only ag teacher at the time, and trained 9 competitive leadership teams on his own. There were very few livestock projects in the beginning- 10 pigs, two pens of poultry, one steer, two lambs, and one ag mechanics project. Today, we have a six-teacher department and boast a membership of approximately 150 dues-paying students who exhibit a multitude of projects including steers, heifers, lambs, goats, rabbits, turkeys, chickens, ag mechanics, and horticulture. We look forward to a bright future as we continue to strive for excellence in the classroom, the show ring, and our leadership abilities.
